12.2- Giving minimum service. Get by work.

 12.2-

Giving minimum service. Get by work.
Versus second mile service.
If you were trained by your family and others to be excellent then you have been truly blessed.
Yesterday we were treated to second mile service by a manager of a Honey Baked Ham store. Our daughter did a good job setting up our Thanksgiving dinner. I picked it up and the clerk looked at the order. I asked her to double check it. She said she did.
Then just before lunch we found a mistake of short two items we had ordered and paid.
Watch excellent service. Amy emailed the company. In less than one hour the manager brought it to our door with extras and an apology. That is second mile service. Jesus teaches us to be excellent servants. Don't cover up mistakes. Use them to prove your heart and soul is full of grace and truth. If you were taught this by your family you have been blessed. To whom much is given much shall be required. Thank you God for great helpers.

Matthew 5.
41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

1 Timothy 6.
All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered. Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare[a] of their slaves.

1 Peter 2.

18 Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. 19 For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God. 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

22 “He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth.”[e]

23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 25 For “you were like sheep going astray,”[f] but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
