 3.13-

The danger and distraction of worry. Yesterday I caught myself drifting into a thought pattern of worry. Then today I read a Psalm written about 3,000 years go that said those of us who are children of God should cast all our burdens on to God and He will sustain us.
About 2,000 years ago there was this fisherman, Peter who had disappointed himself and was not as strong as he thought he was. He had said he could stand up with Jesus when others could not do so. The fact was that he too denied he even knew Jesus.
Later Jesus used him to tell the good news that death is not the end but a new beginning. This man was told to quit telling this good news because it was disturbing cerain people. He boldly said to the people who told him to change his tune that he could not. He had to tell the truth that death is not the end, but a new beginning. For being so bold they beat him up but he kept on living a life of trusting in God. He repeated that concept from a song written long ago. Put all your anxiety on God because He cares about you.
Today if I am determined to take all my worries and throw over to God and then I can enjoy my life fully as I was created to do.

Psalm 55

22 Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to [q]be shaken.

1 Peter 5.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.

Matthew 6.

25 “For this reason I say to you, [q]do not be worried about your [r]life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they? 27 And which of you by worrying can add a single [s]day to his [t]life’s span? 28 And why are you worried about clothing? Notice how the lilies of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin thread for cloth, 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31 Do not worry then, saying, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear for clothing?’ 32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But [u]seek first [v]His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be [w]provided to you.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will [x]worry about itself. [y]Each day has enough trouble of its own.
