5.1- I find myself tempted to get overinvolved in regrets and guilt.

 5.1-

I find myself tempted to get overinvolved in regrets and guilt. A friend cautioned me recently that it is good to remember the good times you have had with family members in the past, but be careful when you have some regrets about how imperfect something was done. He said that can bring you down and that is not good. He reminded me that great men and women have said that they forget what is behind and move forward into that important work that is before them. The prayer of Reinhold Neibuhr can be a good help to us.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Philippans 3
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
