There is a joy that fills my heart when people call me or come by. One of my friends calls then comes by bringing his upbeat spirit and lunch or dinner and makes my day, week or month.
This extra effort of outreach refreshes our spirits. I recently learned of a soldier who had ended his life and wondered if someone might have thought about calling him to say hi but was too busy to get it done.
I'm not one who has been overlooked that way because of the nature of my friends or maybe because I'm "un-iignoranable" but I am reminded to pray for all my friends regularly and call when I have time or they might have a special need.

2 Timothy 1.
15 You are aware of the fact that all who are in [j]Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes. 16 The Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my [k]chains; 17 but when he was in Rome, he eagerly searched for me and found me— 18 the Lord grant to him to find mercy from the Lord on that day—and you know very well what services he rendered at Ephesus.

Save your political action prayers for the meeting with your win/lose political party, whether you are democrat, republican or independependent as far as I'm concerned. Preach and sing the gospel but leave moral slobbery for some group that doesn't abuse children and cover it up and practices racism as a normal thing.  8.16- Confidence is a good thing. A well trained Olympic athlete is very confident. They train four years or longer for this moment on beam and fall down the beam or fall of the beam.
