6.12- The teacher and his group.

 6.12-

The teacher and his group.
There is a word I am not going to use in this writing.
C-H-U-R-C-H.
That word miscommunicates.
I am going to refer to this group with these words.
The teacher and his group.
I am not referring to a physical building whether it be old or new or large or small with a steeple or without one.
I am referring to a group of people.
The teacher made a huge sacrifice of mercy to start the group. He left the perfectly comfortable and pain free surroundings he was in to come out to touch and help the pain of others.
The whole group has been in existence for about 2024 years.
It might be two or three ladies working on a quilt for a young lady who has experienced a surprising event in her life which will help God to create a new life.
It might be twenty ladies who throw a bridle shower for a young couple getting married and wanting to dedicated their marriage and life helping others through teaching.
It might be 40 people going to a golden wedding anniversary.
It might be 50 people praying for a young infant being dedicated to God.
It might be four men going to a Monday night meeting with prisoners wanting a better way of life.
It might be ten people coming to a home in the middle of the night where two teenage girls had just been killed in an auto accident.
It might be four old guys getting together in a car and driving to visit four older people who are shut ins.
It might be 10 adults and 100 teens going to a week in the woods at a lake where the purpose is fun and learning how to live a life of love at a camp.
It might be a funeral for a mature community leader who was supposed to live twenty more years but in getting a routine knee replacement surgery found out he had deadly cancer.
Celebrating victories.
Comfort in losses.
Thank God for the teacher and his group.
T-T-A-H-G.

6.10.24

Acts 2.
43 [at]Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and [au]signs were taking place through the apostles. 44 And all the believers [av]were together and had all things in common; 45 and they would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need. 46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread [aw]from house to house, they were taking their [ax]meals together with gladness and [ay]sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to [az]their number day by day those who were being saved.
