2.12- One of my trainers, close friend, good example in living well under great stress

 2.12-

One of my trainers, close friend, good example in living well under great stress told me when he was about 70 that he knew more about being young than I knew about being old.
I have two of my study buddies who turned 80 in the last three days. Regardless of age, 18 to 78 there are some things children of God need that are given to all ages of men and women.
All ages: Self control.
Young: Love and power and boldness.
Old: Patience, refusal to leave our first love. Zeal.
In our weakest moments the grace of God is powered up beyond our own understanding. The wisdom is delivered at exactly the right time for all ages who wish to enjoy life as a banquet.

Titus 2.

Older men are to be [a]temperate, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, in [b]perseverance.

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may [c]encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

Likewise urge the young men to be [d]sensible; in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with [e]purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
