 4.21-

On Sunday we see the effects and power of Friday. Jesus said if he be "lifted up" he would draw all men to himself.
"Lifted up" meant this price was good for the exchange.
Jesus was referred to as the "lamb of God."by John. Among the Jewish people, "Passover" was a holiday remembering how God had taught his children to mark their homes with the blood of a lamb "without defects". This mark delivered them from death.,
When you purchased something in a shop,
in those days, you saw a robe you wanted and you placed a sign of what you would give for the robe. You laid a sign with what you would give in exchange on top of the robe. Maybe a dozen eggs.
To avoid the shame negotiating in the culture a shop owner would lift up the sign to say the exchange would work.
The price for the forgiveness of my sins was the perfect lamb without defects. When he was "lifted up" and the tomb was empty on Sunday morning it showed the plan for ransom and redemption of mankind had worked.
Peter wrote that we were not redeemed by silver and gold but by the precious blood of the lamb. So we can have hope at our death not because of what we have done but because of what he has done.
The exchange of Jesus perfect life paid the price of justice for the consequences of sins of all the world for all time. The empty tomb shows "lifted up" perfect lamb paid the price.
Happy Easter.

John 12
27 “Now My soul has become troubled; and what am I to say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29 So the crowd who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, “An angel has spoken to Him!” 30 Jesus responded and said, “This voice has not come for My sake, but for yours. 31 Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself.” 33 Now He was saying this to indicate what kind of death He was going to die. 34 The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard from the Law that the [o]Christ is to remain forever; and how is it that You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” 35 So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; also, the one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.”
