On this day twelve years ago Sheila, Jared and I drove from Aurora CO. to Las Vegas New Mexico.  We were ending 30 years of living in our home there.  Jared had spent every holiday with us in that house and so we had some departure sadness.  But on the other hand we had a two day road trip to our new home in Texas.  


We stopped in Albaqurke sp NM for a night and a soccer game between Mexico and Colorado.  It was very memorable and as I sit her tonight I am thankful for the many new memories we have in our home in Texas.

Each step of the way in our moves we have felt God was guiding us as a shepherd.  What great memories.

A psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2     He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3     he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me

 8.26- God expects His children to forgive people who say they have repented and to do so over and over. He certainly is a forgiving God. He has great love and patience with His children. He is compassionate. He is gracious. he is slow to anger.  He is abounding in love.  4.25- Have you had a Doctor of nurse that changed you life.  I have.  I broke my ankle on this date twenty years ago.  I went to a specialist who did not have a very good bedside manner, but he helped to adjust to my new reality.  He said, "I have some good news for you and some bad news for you. The bad news is that you will never run and play sports like you have in the past after this event.  I am going to get you connected with a good man who will fix you a perfect orthodic for your ankle and fit you with braces and you will not have great pain and you will be able to walk effectively. By being blunt and honest with me and not giving me false hope he actually helped me.  He did that and I have been able to walk ever since and for is help as well as his nursing staff.   I should mention teachers and coaches and principals who helped us rear our children.
