Refreshing Our Spirits With Scripture

 6.7- My fridge provides refreshment when I treat it right. If I Maintain it and change the filter and do my part I get ice and cold water and fresh fruits and veggies. If I get too busy and don't treat it properly then the filter clogs and slow to no flow happens. When I am busy and dismissive to my family and friends the flow of support and refreshment do not work well. 1 Corinthians 13 13  If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.   2  If I have  the gift of  prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.   3  And if I give away all my possessions  to charity , and if I surrender my body so that I may  [ a ] glory, but do not have love, it does me no good. 4  Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant.   5  It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own

 6.2- Praying for the comfort of those who lost loved ones in the storm. Praying for strength and courage for the helpers. Thankful for those who were spared. Matthew 24. 32  “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: as soon as its branch has become tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near;   33  so you too, when you see all these things,  [ y ] recognize that  [ z ] He is near,  right  at the  [ aa ] door.   34  Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.   35  Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 36  “But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.   37  For  [ ab ] the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.   38  For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,   39  and they did not  [ ac ] understand until the flood

 6.1- This memorial day i am meditating on appreciating the jobs i have had in my 77 years. Farmer, grocer, teacher, coach and minister. Do you appreciate the work you have been given by God to do? It provides food, shelter, medical care, transportation and a feeling of productivity and accomplishment. Go without a job and home and then see how much you appreciate it. If you appreciate it you also honor all other honest workers. You respect delivery drivers, fast food workers and cleaners and field workers. You show up on time alert and ready to give a full heart, mind and soul to serve people. Do this without complaining you will stand out above the crowd like a light in darkness. Memorial day remember 658,000 men and women died to provide the freedom we enjoy in or jobs. Romans 13. 13  Every  [ a ] person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except  [ b ] from God, and those which exist are established by God.   2  Therefore  [ c ] whoever resists

 5.31- When God's children leave earth they go to be with him in a perfect place. John 14. 14  “Do not let your heart be troubled;  [ a ] believe in God, believe also in Me.   2  In My Father’s house are many  [ b ] rooms; if  that  were not  so ,  [ c ] I would have told you, because I am going  there  to prepare a place for you.   3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am,  there  you also will be.   4  And you know the way where I am going.”   5  Thomas *said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going; how do we know the way?”   6  Jesus *said to him,  “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.

 5.30- The reason the year is 2024 is that the world's greatest teacher was born 2024 years ago. He became a teacher who made it clear that our universe was designed by a God of love. This love was so powerful that death of the human would not end it. After death he appeared to interact with people who were missing him. They were have difficulty with their work and life purpose and frustrated about what their real purpose in life was. He would appear and interact with them. He would give peace to them. He would improve their ability to succeed in their work. He then would leave and return to heaven. Humans are meant to leave this old earth and return to heaven at some point. This kind of love that he had received from his father caused him to have the power to live forever and show up in various times and places to give peace and guidance to people who had received his love.
