8.18- Those I have known who have loved God the longest

8.18- Those I have known who have loved God the longest are convinced that he is love and what flows out to his children is grace, mercy and peace. 1 Timothy 1 1  Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Savior, and of Christ Jesus,  who is  our hope, 2  To Timothy,  my  true  [ a ] son in  the  faith: Grace, mercy,  and  peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3  Just as I urged you  [ b ] upon my departure for Macedonia, to remain on at Ephesus so that you would instruct certain people not to teach strange doctrines,   4  nor to  [ c ] pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to useless speculation rather than  advance   [ d ] the plan of God, which is by faith,  so I urge you now .   5  But the goal of our  [ e ] instruction is love from a pure heart,  from  a good conscience, and  from  a sincere faith.   6  Some people have strayed from these things and have turned aside to fruitless discussion,   7  wanting to b

8.17- Pray for your 30 teachers on each day of the month

8.17- Pray for your 30 teachers on each day of the month this school year. For their success at loving and teaching the students. Three of my prayer friends have made our list. And for safety. Columbine, Parkland, Sandy Hook. Uvalde. Matthew 18  At that  [ a ] time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”   2  And He called a child to Himself and set him among them,   3  and said,  “Truly I say to you, unless you  [ b ] change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.   4  So whoever will humble himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.   5  And whoever receives one such child in My name, receives Me;   6  but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to  [ c ] sin, it is better for him that a  [ d ] heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depths of the sea.

8.16- Confidence is a good thing. A well trained Olympic athlete is very confident.

8.16- Confidence is a good thing. A well trained Olympic athlete is very confident. They train four years or longer for this moment on beam and fall down the beam or fall of the beam. They fly off and miss the uneven bars. Knowing they cannot win a medal. They have messed up and gone off the horse. What do they do? They get back on the horse. They finish their routine with a confident smile. They do not let that failure define them. Our life is not marked by a failure unless we allow it to be. The choice is ours. Bad day at work yesterday. Make today that much better. 2 Corinthians 4 7  But we have this treasure in  [ e ] earthen containers, so that the extraordinary  greatness  of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;   8  we are  afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;   9  persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed;   10  always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be reve

Matthew 25. 31  “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.   32  And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;   33  and He will put the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left. 34  “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.   35  For I was hungry, and you gave Me  something  to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me  something  to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;   36  naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’   37  Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You  something  to dr

8.13- If we want to be a helpers of people who are lost,

8.13- If we want to be a helpers of people who are lost, confused and living in chaos it is critical to balance our lives. We need to separate from people who are overly afraid. We need much time with people who are not confused and who remind us to not be afraid. We also need time away from all people to rest and refuel in the countryside, gardens, beaches, lakes, mountains and places of restful sleep. At the right time we will have mental, emotional, physical and especially spiritual energy to lead people to settle down, chunk problems down to size and overcome. Then we can pray for wisdom and give thanks for being a part of the positive change from confusion and lack to peace order and abundant provision. Matthew 6. 33  The people  saw them going, and many recognized  them  and ran there together on foot from all the cities, and got there ahead of them.   34  When Jesus went  [ p ] ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a
