Death is not the worst thing that can happen to a person.

Favorite Verse: Matthew 18.7
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!

Thought for the day:
Death is not the worst thing that can happen to a person.  Something worse is for an innocent child to be destroyed by someone. Justice requires that when there is a probability that a person could abuse children, it would be better for them if they weren't alive. That is what Jesus taught. His Jewish family had systems for over a thousand years that set up severe consequences for those who cause children to stumble. I have heard of prisoners who became followers of Jesus in prison who said that they wanted the death penalty. They knew if they were free, they would harm children.
