10.1, Good thoughts on hard days.
10.1
On this date in 1977 I made a big move from Dallas to Denver, Colorado.
This move was a move from a time and place of strength and joy to another place of mystery, challenge and excitement. After a vacation trip through Denver in 1975 we had found ourselves drawn to want to move there and work there. We didn’t know exactly why, though the reasons why would become a bit more clear later.
We had lived in Texas all our lives and received our education here and most all our family lived in the Lone Star state.

We had lived in Texas all our lives and received our education here and most all our family lived in the Lone Star state.
We wanted to try the beautiful state of Colorado and the city of
Denver. On August 4, 1978 we adopted our daughter, Amy, from Colorado
Christian Service. That was one of the reasons we feel we moved to
Denver. Our family history was changed forever.
On this date in 1980 I made a big move to Abilene, Texas.
This move was in a time when we felt overwhelmed in our lives. We were moving from a time of feeling disappointment to a time of healing and receiving some additional education. We were surrounded by many family members and friends who helped us to be healed spiritually and recycled and a bit later we moved back to Denver and lived there a total of 33 years prior to our returning to Texas.
Sometimes we move when things are upbeat and sometimes we move when things are on a downbeat. If we are blessed to live as a child of God surrounded by His amazing grace things can still be good.
We, as children of God, still have Jesus as our Savior.
He loves us and helps us to turn our hearts around to seek His forgiveness.
He is ready to forgive and give us a fresh start each day.
We will not be outwitted by Satan to accuse us and add guilt on top of guilt.
Yet, I will rejoice in the Lord.
It reminds me of the verse in Habakkuk.
3.
17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.
