11.14-The blessings of having a Christian Family
11.14-
3 I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4 Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.
I have been blessed in this life
with my wife Sheila, and the kids, Jeff and Amy and the grandkids, Jared, 19,
Jordan, 16.
Our siblings have been a constant
encouragement. I had three sibs and Sheila one. They and their
children and grandchildren have been a constant source of support to us.
Our uncles and aunts all in heaven
now except my Aunt Johnnie Fink who is 90 plus and still a blessing to all of
us. Our cousins remain close and we have two or three times a year for
large gathering that serve as a reunion point. One of these is early
November when we remember Joe Wishard and others with the Alzhiemers
walk. In May we have Oak Ridge grave yard working day. Sometimes at
Thanksgiving and Christmas we get together also. The Oak Ridge church
continues to be a centering point for many of us though most attend other
congregations all over the state and nation.
