How great it would be if everyone came from a family and community where fathers were there for their children with grace, mercy and help when they needed it.  It seems to me that these people are in the minority right now.  I hope not.  My father being strong, hard working and always there to provide for me set me up for this prayer, “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name.” making sense to me.

Today I went to breakfast with a friend who said it was great that his dad was always there for him.  He would come and rescue me anytime I was in need.  He said, "Once I needed him to come pick me up at 2am and he came and got me.  He was a great dad."

The Lord's prayer says that God is our Father in heaven. 

If the Bible is your guidebook, then you would get the impression that God is a God of grace and mercy.

He intends to save people from the destruction of their sins.

18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

Save your political action prayers for the meeting with your win/lose political party, whether you are democrat, republican or independependent as far as I'm concerned.
