4.30-What are the signs that God is a loving heavenly Father who gives us grace and mercy?
4.30-
18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f] because he will save his people from their sins.”
How great it would be if everyone
came from a family and community where fathers were there for their children
with grace, mercy and help when they needed it.
It seems to me that these people are in the minority right now. I hope not.
My father being strong, hard working and always there to provide for me
set me up for this prayer, “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name.”
making sense to me.
Today I went to breakfast with a friend who said it was great that his dad was always there for him. He would come and rescue me anytime I was in need. He said, "Once I needed him to come pick me up at 2am and he came and got me. He was a great dad."
The Lord's prayer says that God is our Father in heaven.
If the Bible is your guidebook, then
you would get the impression that God is a God of grace and mercy.
He intends to save people from the destruction of their sins.
