8.31-What is your purpose in life when you have reached the end of life?

8.31-

Today I met with a guy who is a successful grandfather.  He has a grandson who is a school principal and a granddaughter who is a young teacher.  They meet together as a large family for Sunday lunch to talk about their faith walk together.  What  rich life?  Well not exactly.  He had to have surgery to have an eye ball removed.  He still has clear vision in one eye and in the eyes of his heart.  He walks by faith, not by sight.

John 9.

Acts 26.
¹² “^[g]While so engaged as I was journeying to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests, ¹³ at midday, O King, I saw on the way a light from heaven, ^[h]brighter than the sun, shining all around me and those who were journeying with me. ¹⁴ And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the ^[i]Hebrew dialect, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? ^[j]It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ ¹⁵ And I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. ¹⁶ But get up and stand on your feet; for this purpose I have appeared to you, to appoint you a minister and a witness not only to the things which you have ^[k]seen, but also to the things in which I will appear to you; ¹⁷ rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’



Isaiah 40.

²⁸ Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
²⁹ He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
³⁰ Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
³¹ Yet those who ^[aa]wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will ^[ab]mount up with ^[ac]wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.
