5.18- Speaking good news while seized, imprisoned or locked up or locked down.
5.18-
Speaking good news while seized, imprisoned or locked up or locked down.
Jesus was seized by the government and religious leaders of His day. He stayed focused on speaking good news. God, our Father in heaven has promised that as far as His children are concerned, in the end everything is going to be okay. If you are a child of God and everything is not okay, then it must not be the end yet.
Here are some words to remember. “He is risen.”
Life on this planet includes death, but from the Christian point of view there is another life after this life here. Our hope is anchored somewhere beyond this world. Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so I would have told you.”

“He is going ahead of you.” He has been here and experienced what we
experience and more and yet gotten through it. He understands. You can
talk to Jesus about anything.
“Go into all the world and preach good news.” Our work is to focus on the good news that God, our Father in Heaven is love. Those who live in love live in Him. He is full of grace and mercy. Paul addressed many of His letters with the opening that God sends grace, mercy and peace. Why? Because that is who God is.
Jesus recruited Peter, Paul and John and others who experienced situations where they were locked down. Peter had to be locked up because He kept teaching about Jesus as the source of healing even thought they didn’t want them to speak of Him. Paul wrote many of his letters to the church from a locked up situation. He said it was good that he had gotten locked up because the brethren were becoming more bold and courageous in their witness.
So today if you are tired of feeling locked down, I pray that God of hope fills your heart to overflowing with peace.
