Memorial Day
Better To Go To War and Die Than Live With Those Without Appreciation For Good Values
I honor our country that honors the value of life of a person regardless if they are rich or poor. Regardless of the color of their skin. Regardless of where they were born. Regardless of their religion or no religion. That is a country worth dying for.

First Amendment says:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Sheila and I have one friend who died in Viet Nam and one of the reasons he reenlisted was that he felt many of his contemporaries did not fully appreciate the price that was being paid by those serving.
On this Memorial Day I am thankful for the freedom to teach about Jesus without interference from government authorities. The rights of a citizen of America are cherished by us and certainly the sacrifice of men and women who died for our country will not be forgotten by us.

Romans 13.
13 Every [a]person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except [b]from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore [c]whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for [d]good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4 for
it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be
afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a
minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. 7 Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.
