12.1- I want to invite poor people to dinner.

 12.1-

There are so many people who are weary and burdened.  Numbers who are completely lost and have no shepherd or leader for their lives.  They need the Lord as their shepherd.

Matthew 11.

28 “Come to Me, all [v]who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find [w]rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.”

Jesus leaders are people who are hospitable.

Titus 1.

Paul, a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, [a]for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness, in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised [b]long ages ago, but at the proper time revealed His word in the proclamation with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior;

To Titus, my true [c]son [d]in a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

Qualifications of Elders

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, namely, if any man is beyond reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of indecent behavior or rebellion. For the [e]overseer must be beyond reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not overindulging in wine, not [f]a bully, not greedy for money, but hospitable, loving what is good, self-controlled, righteous, holy, disciplined, holding firmly the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to [g]exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict it.

Luke 14.

12 Now He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him, “Whenever you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor wealthy neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you to a meal in return, and that will be your [l]repayment. 13 But whenever you give a [m]banquet, invite people who are poor, who have disabilities, who are limping, and people who are blind; 14 and you will be blessed, since they [n]do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

15 Now when one of those who were reclining at the table with Him heard this, he said to Him, “Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!”

I want to see the poor the way that God sees them.  A portal to heaven’s life.

I want my life with Jesus to be a banquet of joy, love and peace.

I want to refuse to make excuses.

I want to invite all to Jesus banquet.
