4.28-
During the lead up to major cultural and national change it
is true that people will keep on buying and selling and marrying and overeating
and overdrinking. People keep on using
their place of family and work to either build up people or abuse people.
Suddenly our lives can change. A war. An earthquake. A job
loss. A heart attack or stroke. A fall.
A car wreck. We must get our
security from that which is secure. The
words of Jesus remain after 2022 years.
Use the time you have left whether it is 100 years or 100
days to build up people in your family and work places and your will have no
regrets. Treat people the way you want
to be treated.
Reward come from good choices.
Proverbs 24.
10 If you show
yourself lacking courage on the day of distress,
Your strength is meager.
11 Rescue those who are
being taken away to death,
And those who are staggering to the slaughter, Oh hold them back!
12 If
you say, “See, we did not know this,”
Does He who weighs the hearts not consider it?
And does He who watches over your soul not
know it?
And will He not [f]repay a person according
to his work?
If you choose to follow the way of love and service to your
fellowman it is true that Jesus will be there to help you.
We as Jesus followers are focused on taking the good news to
all people as the most basic help we could provide.
Acts 24.
24 Now some days later Felix arrived with Drusilla his [n]wife,
who was Jewish, and he sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith
in Christ Jesus. 25 But as he was
discussing righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to
come, Felix became frightened and responded, “Go away for now, and when I have
an opportunity, I will summon you.” 26 At the same time he was also hoping
that money would be given to him by Paul; therefore he also used to send
for him quite often and talk with him. 27 But after two years had
passed, Felix [o]was succeeded
by Porcius Festus; and Felix, wanting to do the Jews a favor, left
Paul imprisoned.
If you choose to be
selfish and abuse yourself and others then there will be negative outcomes. None of us has lived a perfect life. All of us need to ask God and others to
forgive us and begin again with new mercy applied each day.
