7.25- We are given breath each day.

 7.25-

We are given breath each day. This morning I am thankful for this today. Between now and my last breath there is some work to finish. It not necessary to move at high speed to accomplish our work.
There were times that I could run up the stairs at my house in Denver two steps at a time. I could go up and down stairs without handrails. I thought that on a good day I would work smart and fast. I would know more success by multitasking. In those days I didn't know the life of the lame person. I didn't see many of them for any length of time. I kept moving at my work so I could accomplish as much as possible.
About 16,357 days ago I hit a wall spiritually. I was busy and from a worldly point of view I knew how to stay busy and appear to be fruitful. Inside I was tired, burned out and without joy. I had to change something if I was going to be a successful follower of Jesus.
I noticed that Jesus started His day not by running here and there with His guys. He didn't start His day by hopping on a horse or even a donkey and ride off to impress the people of power in this world. Jesus started of His day by being still.
Be still and know
That you are not God.
Be still and know that God is God.
Thank you God for my breath.

Psalm 46.

Come, behold the works of the Lord,
[h]Who has inflicted horrific events on the earth.
He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariots with fire.
10 [i]Stop striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the [j]nations, I will be exalted on the earth.”
11 The Lord of armies is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah
