 2.9-

A Hobson's choice is: "an apparently free choice when there is no real alternative. 2. : the necessity of accepting one of two or more equally objectionable alternatives"
There are regrets that come from making poor choices.
When people do something wrong to us there are at least two choices. You can call something they did was "good" when it was "bad" for them and others. Denial. Repression. That is a bad choice.
The path to less regrets is face the truth. Embrace the truth. Remember to speak the truth in love. Forgive them. Get away from them. Turn it over to God to handle the justice and punishment by the proper authorities at the right time.
This allows us to travel light through life with less baggage and regrets. Grudge is sludge. Bitterness is toxic.

Matthew 5.
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors, do they not do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Even the Gentiles, do they not do the same? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
