4.2-What should we do while waiting for our kids and grandkids to come to their senses?

4.2-

If you have a child or a grandchild whom you are praying for I hope you will keep in mind the attitude Jesus spoke of in the parable of the prodigal son.

Luke 15.
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

Give them space and freedom to learn either in the hard way or an easier way. It takes different things for different people.

Pray and look for them to come home to God and to you if you are a parent or grandparent who loves God.

Look with hope and optimism and grace and mercy. His followers have always reminded us also.

Cast your anxiety on God because He cares for you.

Stand firm in your faith.

Pray for others who are also suffering with the struggles of their children and grandchilden.

Remember who God is. He is the God of all grace. He put you into a position to hear the good news of His love. He will restore His children with His grace and mercy. He will make those who were not firm in faith firm in faith. He has given us everything we need for our spiritual growth.
