4.8-Forgiveness is critcal
4.8-Forgiveness is a tool that we have to help our lives that our enemy the evil one does not have.
Jesus reminds us that we must forgive
others in order to be forgiven. God has
blessed us and we should bless others. Because
God has provided for us we should provide forgiveness to others and we will
receive the greatest blessing of all, forgiveness. Grace and mercy flowing out from God into our
minds and hearts will truly transform us.
Matthew 6.
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]’
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]’
14 For if you forgive other people when
they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But
if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your
sins.
Blockage to
our effective prayer life is lack of forgiveness.
Mark 11.
22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this
mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart
but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
24 Therefore I tell
you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it
will be yours. 25 And
when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so
that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” [26] [g]
This flow of forgiveness keeps expanding.
Ephesians 4.
31 Get rid of all
bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of
malice. 32 Be
kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ
God forgave you. 5 1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved
children 2 and
walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as
a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
