4.26-Abuse of people.

4.26

Cover up of wicked behavior in the world is as old as Cain saying, “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

Clergy, school teachers, coaches, media news people, athletes, CEO’s.  The greater the influence of power and money the more people are willing to overlook abusive behavior.

Matthew 24.

13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
There are consequences of our choices.  We are not perfect.   What we should do is confess the truth.  Repent.  Apologize.  Receive grace and mercy and go back to a soft heart full of love for God and our fellowman.  Sometimes we don’t and bad things happen to us.
So here is the sequence that cost God His only Son, Jesus.
Wickedness increases.  God’s words remain true.  People make bad choices and cover them up and make worse choices.  Hearts and minds hurt.  Pain killers of various types, drugs, weed and alcohol being only two but money, workacholism and religious fanaticism, food addiction, immorality and cutting and I could go on and on.
Consequences happen.
To break the chain.  Turn to the truth.  Out yourself with God and others.  Ask for grace and mercy from God and others.  Repent.  Start over.  Go to the cross of Jesus Christ and get a fresh start.  Live in truth.  Enjoy living in the truth.  Receiver forgiveness and pass it on.
The more things change the more they stay the same.
