4.24- Six meetings with people in all those different places

4.24-

What a Week this past week.
On Sunday afternoon with people in Atlanta.
On Tuesday morning with people in Denver.
On Wednesday evening with people in Fort Worth.
On Thursday morning with people in Fort Worth.
On Thursday lunch with people in Denver.
On Thursday evening with people in Denver.

Six meetings with people in all those different places and with different people during the time that the government said we could not meet together.

Through our computers I met with about 60 people last week. These friends of mine saw each other and caught up on how things were going in their lives. The group that Jesus has formed is very flexible. It can meet in a house. It can meet in a café a park or a beach. It can meet in several cities and several houses at once.

There is a spirit among them. When they are filled with the Spirit of God there is something that happens.
They are all in heart, soul, mind and strength. They have crossed over the line from untouchable independence.

An Awesome God has done an awesome thing. He has formed a bond. Across the street or across 14 time zones it is there in the people of God. They share their hearts and so they share their things. Those with not enough share with those who have more than enough. They pool their resources and everyone’s needs are met. They share food together. They celebrate their life and their hope after they have been severely wounded in life.

Most of them walk forward in life. Though their lives are not perfect and they walk with a limp of some kind they move forward with joy, peace and hope. Always hope.

Last week was good. Virtual meetings with my family. Faith connections that heal and bless do not have to be in the same room or even the same state or country. It’s about faith and love. You may have a reason that the people in a church must scatter for a time, but they are always together in heart. Its an awesome thing.

Acts 2.
41-42 That day about three thousand took him at his word, were baptized and were signed up. They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers.
43-45 Everyone around was in awe—all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person’s need was met.
46-47 They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.
