5.4-
Matthew 22.
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and [o]foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
Colosians 3.
17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Ephesians 4.
30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, [w]by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven [x]you.
All of us have strengths and weaknesses. I need to do excellent
work, not shoddy work. There is a teaching that we should be quick to
hear and slow to speak. This week I found myself talking too much.
About nine years ago I repaired my broken vacum plug and used orange instead of white but apparently my repair worked ok.
I plugged it in today and nothing. No power.
I wanted to blame the outlet or a reset fuse. No. I wanted an easy,
"little effort on my part" fix. I'm the same way about stopping my bad
habits and starting good ones. I ask God for help. He does. He gives
me a healthy body and mind. He gave me my dad's
small tool kit. It must be taken apart and rewired to receive the
power needed.
Screwdriver, knife, pliers, electrical tape. Yes, you can fix this
power problem. Forget the news and Everybody Loves Raymond reruns. Do
the work!

19 [u]This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;
17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Ephesians 4.
