1.30-
I had this dream. I was walking along the sandy beach. Headed to a sunset communion service. There were tracks labeled "the little mistakes", envy, coveting, white lies, deceit, slander, arrogance and pride.
I knew we would gather and break bread and drink some wine and read about the body and blood.
The sun was setting the speaker had no long sermon. He asked us to close our eyes and with our bread and wine take as we carried ourselves to the foot of the cross. Those three men dying but one saying to a criminal," today you will go with me to Paradise" and saying in prayer "Father forgive them for they don't know what their doing." He said "it's finished." Righteous, pure God finished the sin debts of all people for all time.
We opened our eyes and the sun was down. I walked back retracing my steps. The little sin tracks has been washed out by ocean of God's grace, mercy and peace
I expected the big deep tracks that had formerly caused me so much regret and shame to be still there. No. They too were not concreted in the sand but each sin i had confessed and had sorrow about was washed completely into oblivion.
Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.
Titus 3.
3 Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, 2 to slander no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing every consideration for all people. 3 For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. 4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but in accordance with His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He richly poured out upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs [a]according to the hope of eternal life.
