6.22- True humility comes from knowing where you came from.

6.22- True humility comes from knowing where you came from. Where you're going. What you are supposed to do while you are here. This allows a kind of self forgetfulness so that one's thoughts are on serving and helping others. Whatever they need done that you can do. You do without concern about anything being too lowly for you to do. John 13 13  It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2  The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.   3  Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God;   4  so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.   5  After that, he poured water into ...

6.21- What is the character of the God who listens to your prayers? The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. Psalm 145.8

6.20- Prayer, for me, is not about convincing God, my father in heaven, that something I'm praying about is a need rather than a want.

6.20- Prayer, for me, is not about convincing God, my father in heaven, that something I'm praying about is a need rather than a want. On my best days: Prayer is being still and knowing that God is God and I am not. Prayer is listening when he says, "I would never give you, my child, a stone instead of an egg." Prayer is agreeing with my loving heavenly father regarding what right and wrong for me. Prayer is seeing with the eyes of my heart that God loves those I haven't learned to love yet including those who think I'm their enemy. Prayer saying. Please. Thank you.and wow! Prayer growing in love for God and reducing my interest in money and power. Larry Wishard, 6.18.25 Luke 11 11  One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” 2  He said to them,  “When you pray, say: “‘Father, [ a ] hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. 6.19- God's children stand for justice.

6.19- God's children stand for justice. That means at times weapons must be used to stop evil. But we should remember Abraham Lincoln's advice regarding that the way to get rid of enemies was to love into being friends. God please bring peace and stop the killing. 1 Timothy 2. 2  I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—   2  for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.   3  This is good, and pleases God our Savior,   4  who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.   5  For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,   6  who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.   7  And for this purpose I was appointed a herald a...

6.18- 3000 year old wisdom.

6.18- 3000 year old wisdom. " This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot" Ecclesiastes 5 18  This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.   19  Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.   20  They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart.

6.17- On Sunday's I usually go to church online now that my legs and ankles don't work effectively. I normally attend church at my own congregation in North Richland Hills and also go to the congregation where I grew up at Oak Ridge. Often I'm up early and I will visit churches in earlier time Zones, one is in London. The speaker there Mike Jarvis, is an engineer who was sharing a devotional thought to be sure to make a good connection with our communications. To illustrate the King of England, Eward Viii, 1936, abdicated the throne in order to marry a woman he said he could not live without and in order to marry her he had to leave the throne. This caused a bit of crisis in the govenment. The king was to broadcast on the radio and it was to go all over the nation and even to the states through a transatlantic cable. He was about to start the radio broadcast and a technician trippped over a wire and two sockets came loose. Just as the broadcast was to start someone ...
