 6.20- Prayer, for me, is not about convincing God, my father in heaven, that something I'm praying about is a need rather than a want. On my best days: Prayer is being still and knowing that God is God and I am not. Prayer is listening when he says, "I would never give you, my child, a stone instead of an egg." Prayer is agreeing with my loving heavenly father regarding what right and wrong for me. Prayer is seeing with the eyes of my heart that God loves those I haven't learned to love yet including those who think I'm their enemy. Prayer saying. Please. Thank you.and wow!  6.19- God's children stand for justice. That means at times weapons must be used to stop evil. But we should remember Abraham Lincoln's advice regarding that the way to get rid of enemies was to love into being friends.  6.17- On Sunday's I usually go to church online now that my legs and ankles don't work effectively. I normally attend church at my own congregation in North Richland Hills and also go to the congregation where I grew up at Oak Ridge. Often I'm up early and I will visit churches in earlier time Zones, one is in London. The speaker there Mike Jarvis, is an engineer who was sharing a devotional thought to be sure to make a good connection with our communications. To illustrate the King of England, Eward Viii, 1936, abdicated the throne in order to marry a woman he said he could not live without and in order to marry her he had to leave the throne. This caused a bit of crisis in the govenment. The king was to broadcast on the radio and it was to go all over the nation and even to the states through a transatlantic cable.
