7.24- Thankful today for my helpers.

7.24- Thankful today for my helpers. Teachers help me to understand more. Lawn man trims and adds order and beauty. Cleaners help me stay hearty. Grocers and butchers, farmers and ranchers feed me. Repairman fix my stuff. My ultimate helper is God. He goes where no one else can go and does what no one else can do. John 16 16  “All this I have told you so that you will not fall away.   2  They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God.   3  They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me.   4  I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you,   5  but now I am going to him who sent me. None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’   6  Rather, you are filled with grief becaus...

7.23- Jesus stood for justice and disrupted things.

The killing of female babies. The business of slavery. And many other things are changeed by Jesus. Mathhew 22. 34  Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.   35  One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:   36  “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37  Jesus replied:  “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ [ c ]   38  This is the first and greatest commandment.   39  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ [ d ]   40  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Acts 22 34  Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees g...

7.22- Secrets are tiring and destructive.

7.22- Secrets are tiring and destructive. We go to such extents to hide our deepest issues.  It pushes us to play games and not be genuine.  King David was not a good example of how to live.  He did many things wrong, outrageous.  But he did the right thing to make it right with honesty with God and HIs fellowman.  It cost him dearly.  The consequences had to be faced, but he asked God to examine him and then wrote of the relief and joy. Psalm 139 Psalm 139 New International Version Psalm 139 For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. 1  You have searched me,  Lord ,      and you know me. 2  You know when I sit and when I rise;      you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3  You discern my going out and my lying down;      you are familiar with all my ways. 4  Before a word is on my tongue      you,  Lord , know it completely. 5...

7.21 Worry is wrong.

7.21 Worry is wrong. Even concern about more than a day at a time is not useful. Each day has enough to work on each day. We can so easily get distracted from good thoughts by overthinking what is ahead for ourselves and how our future compares with others. Can you imagine yourself as a sheep being cared for by God? Then you shall not want for anything you need. He will arrange proper rest. He will refresh and restore your soul. What a life! Matthew 6 25  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?   26  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?   27  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life [ e ] ?
