5.15-God is the great provider.

5.15-

As Sheila and I approach our 50th anniversary I am writing down some principles of Christian living that we have seen in our parents' marriages.  Sheila's had 64 years together and my parents had about 70 years together.  Our marriage and theirs were far from perfect and those 184 years were received as a gift from God based on His mercy and grace.  They knew this and said it and so do we.  I have called this series about the principles of a Christian family, "Water running downhill".  It is a spiritual law of gravity.

Principle 14

We believe that God knows about our needs better than we do.  He watches over sparrows and He watches over us.  God proved by giving His Son Jesus that He will give us anything we need.  He is the great provider.

Matthew 10.
26 “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[b] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
