5.2-Forgiveness is a basic part of our prayer life. We ask for forgiveness. We extend it to others.

God is a God of grace, mercy and forgiveness.  Jesus' model prayer had this great line:

Matthew 6.

12 And forgive us our debts,
    as we also have forgiven our debtors.

It makes it clear that we are to forgive as our Father is a forgiving God and expects the same choices to be made by His children.

He is compassionate. He is gracious. he is slow to anger.  He is abounding in love.  4.24- Spiritual growth with God happens most commonly in times of intense stress and suffering. Scripture indicates the best prayers are honest conversations between God and some of His children.  Moses. Jonah.
