 6.17-

On Sunday's I usually go to church online now that my legs and ankles don't work effectively. I normally attend church at my own congregation in North Richland Hills and also go to the congregation where I grew up at Oak Ridge.
Often I'm up early and I will visit churches in earlier time Zones, one is in London. The speaker there Mike Jarvis, is an engineer who was sharing a devotional thought to be sure to make a good connection with our communications.
To illustrate the King of England, Eward Viii, 1936, abdicated the throne in order to marry a woman he said he could not live without and in order to marry her he had to leave the throne. This caused a bit of crisis in the govenment. The king was to broadcast on the radio and it was to go all over the nation and even to the states through a transatlantic cable.
He was about to start the radio broadcast and a technician trippped over a wire and two sockets came loose. Just as the broadcast was to start someone saw it and quickly plugged them back together.
On this father's day weekend I was really blessed with a beautiful lunch from Cotton Patch. Chicken fried steak, okra, baked potatoe, sweet potatoe, rolls and gravy and a good visit from Jeff and Donna.
Then today there was a lovely Zoom call from the Altanta crew. We talked about clear communications connections requiring being clear about what we are saying and making sure it got through to the receiver.
The teacher said the way to have good communications is to not use any useless words. The idea of the way to have good communication is to not only make it true and honest and clear, but to say words that build people up to be the best they can be.
I felt and deep connection of love on this father's day and I'm thankful for each one making it happen.
