6.26- Turning frowns upside down.

 6.26-

Turning frowns upside down. I had been parking in a fire lane at Walmart for several years to trek to their mobility carts. Robert saw me this time and old me that I couldn't park it there.
I asked if he would mind parking it for me. He said, "Sure."
He turned my frown upside down to a smile.
Later I went back to the car after shopping for 30 minutes and Robert had left the car running. My smile turned to a frown. I knew I should be thankful and happy for his help. My frown was turned upside down.
I saw Robert the next time at the store. I decided to not mention the car left running and he was so happy and helpful to me. He turned my smile up a bit and I turned his up a bit.
Have you thought about how to make someone's day better. Just a smile. Just a helpful hand to open and door. It means that you noticed someone was there. I heard today of a teenager who was feeling he was not very talented at helping people at his church. His dad reminded him that he stands at the front and welcomes people and opens the door for them and helps them carry things they may be carrying. How much that father had blessed that son with those words.
To notice people and do what we can to make their day better is a constant opportunity for all of us on a daily basis.

Ephesians 4
29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
