Money has a statement. "In God we trust." We pay our taxes to the government. We also honor our authorities appointed by God.
We pray for peace and orderly lives to give our taxes to the government, but our heart and soul to God.
We pray for those who have lost loved ones in Surfside, Florida. We hope and pray there was not a failure in our government inspection or some landlord payoff of inspectors.
An orderly nation requires morals good ethics and being a nation of good laws and not of dependance on the moral purity of fallen humanity. God bless our country with a turn back to You and Your ways. Lord help each of us to encourage and uplift each person in our path today.

1 Timothy 6.

 6 But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. 7 For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it, either. 8 If we have food and [g]covering, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all [h]sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many [i]griefs.

11 But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, [j]perseverance, and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and for which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I direct you in the presence of God, who [k]gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep the commandment without [l]fault or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which He will [m]bring about at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of [n]kings and Lord of [o]lords, 16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom [p]no one has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

17 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 18 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good [q]works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

9.4- Broken eggs. I had been warned Don't try to carry too much in from the grocery store at once. Learn the hard way or the easy way. Why does the only thing that falls off is the most fragile? The carton was crushed. Several eggs were broken. I have learned to keep looking when a little frustration comes to stay alert. Some good can come out of something bad.  9.2- There was this grasshopper who appeared to be very old and very wounded. He drug himself along. Where he was amazed me. On the ground level at the gas station near Gordon Texas was dirt and oil and the danger of feet and tires. As I pumped 39.30 worth of fuel I wondered how did he get out of the dirt and danger to the safety of the top of the gas pump? As I get older I sometimes feel I am dragging along like a grasshopper. My spirit is fueled by seeing how my life includes my maker providing safety for me by the help of family, friends and strangers. Two such are my nephew, Lynn And Sheri Luttrell. He is a prof. at ACU and she the owner and leader of stepping Stones school. Got to spent two days of fun, 42 and homemade ice cream last week.  9.3- I have been given a bed to go to sleep in where a window is high and laying on my back I can see the moon at times. Flat of my back I can choose to think of the maker of the moon. A space craft from India landed there yesterday near the south pole of the moon where they think there may be water. Once the greatest human who ever lived faced his hardest days.
